Russell Wilson Files for Divorce

Russell Wilson, Seahawks quarterback, made a brief statement today.  His statement has nothing to do with his football career rather on his personal life specifically on his marriage.  Being known as a religious person, he tweeted a verse from the Bible saying, "God never promises the absence of storms. He just promises to walk with us through them."

His brief statement goes like this, "I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce.  Clearly, decisions like these don't come easy. Ashton and I respectfully ask for prayers, understanding and privacy during this difficult time. Moving forward, I will have no further comment on this personal matter." (source: espn)

 

Russell Wilson and wife Ashton were married in the year 2012.  They have been dating since college although they have known each other since high school years.
