At first, I thought its another remake. But its not. The Day the Earth Stood Still reaches its 60th anniversary today.

The movie, "The Day the Earth Stood Still" was first filmed in the year 1951. It was considered a hit movie because of its effects considering that it was taken years before were the world is not that high tech as it is now.

"The Day the Earth Stood Still" was then re-filmed in the year 2008 starring Keanu Reeves which I personally saw.
