World Cup of Pool 2009 Day 3

World Cup of Pool 2009 is almost over. Part of Round 2 already started today in the day 3 of the World Cup of Pool 2009. The defending champion USA defeated India with a score of 8-5. They are heading for the quater finals of the World Cup of Pool 2009 which will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2009.

The controversial game of the World Cup of Pool 2009 is Philippines Team B vs. Italy. The pool legends Francisco Django Bustamante and Efren Bata Reyes did a poor start in tonight's game. However, they managed to win the game with a score of 8-5 despite the controversial decision of the referee Cielo Lopez.

Cielo Lopez ruled a foul on one shot of Italy's Bruno Muratore. She declared that an arm hair of Bruno Muratore touches the ball, hence a foul. This is in accordance with the rule that no part of the body should touch the ball while playing otherwise it shall be declared a foul. This is the first time that such kind of decision was declared by a referee. According to the commentators, rules are rules. Similar to any other kind of sport, referee's decision should be respected.
