Dementieva Defeats William at Semi-finals at Rogers Cup

Well, I was not aware that there are still other tennis tournaments held prior to the US Open 2009. This is the Rogers Cup. The latest update on this sports event is that Elena Dementieva defeated Serena Williams with a score of 7-6 (2), 6-1. The match lasted for almost an hour.


With Elena Dementieva winning the semi-finals for the Rogers Cup, she will be competing against either of Maria Sharapova and Alysa Kleybanova for the championship game which will be held tomorrow, Sunday, 1:30 p.m. ET. You can watch live Rogers Championship game at CBC and CBCSports.
